Smart and analytic without being boring. It has plenty of information in a well-edited half hour. Enough time to dig in, not enough time to get tedious. I love this one.

Sure, perfection is an admirable objective, but there's also something rather over-optimistic, perhaps even silly about it. For one thing, is perfection something that can ever be achieved? And what about the unintended side effects of striving for perfection? Nice Try offers a serious, if somewhat sceptical, look at attempts to make our world perfect. Former 99% percent invisible producer Avery Trufelman has the intelligence and the chops to shape relatable subjects into a coherent, captivating narrative. Not to mention, she does have a great podcast voice. Sound design, engineering, and editing is up there with the best. All of which makes this a very interesting podcast to listen to.
