Welcome to The Hall H Show – where hosts Aaron Nabus and Alex Benedicto connect, engage and put the Hall H spotlight on pop culture / comic book artists, writers and other creatives. See you in Artist Alley!
Our guest for episode 81 of the Hall H Show, Tamayo Muto, an artist visiting from Japan, left me and Alex inspired, especially since she only recently started pursuing the fine arts and has already showcased her work in numerous art shows in San Diego and Los Angeles, CA! Recorded a few months ago in May, just before she was going to fly back home to Japan to finish her college degree, this episode was a fun conversation with Tamayo, whom we had the pleasure of meeting at one of Thumbprint Gallery's art shows at Basic in downtown San Diego, CA. Tamayo proved to be every bit as warm and colorful as the Mexican culture she fell in love with during her stay in Southern California. Although she is back home in Japan, I have a feeling we'll be seeing her again at a local art show...hopefully soon. Enjoy!
The powerful and creative Leo Partible, joined the Hall H Show (Aaron Nabus and Alex Benedicto) at San Diego Comic-Con 2019. Leo is a creative force of nature who enjoys expressing himself through music, poetry, movies, comic books and more. He is also more than willing to give back and guide others who embark on their own creative journey. As a fellow Filipino-American creator, we appreciated his candor and his willingness to be vulnerable with us as he shared his experiences and insight on this episode. We left motivated to create and learn everything, as well as gaining more confidence to take chances and not be afraid of failure. We hope you feel the same way after listening to this conversation with Leo Partible! ~Aaron
Our third Hall H Show podcast from San Diego Comic-Con 2019 (listen to our two previous SDCC 2019 episodes with comic book, art and graphic design educator, Michael Dooley and cosplayer and podcaster, Tim Ludy) features television writer and script coordinator, Karla Nappi. Karla joined host, Aaron Nabus and talked about her comic book, Duplicant, Meltdown Comics, her (and her father's) love for Indiana Jones, what TV show she would like to write for, and more! If you believe in our mission to be “The Voice of Independent Creators,” we would appreciate a rating and a comment on iTunes. And please spread the word on social media using the hashtag, #HallHshow! Peace...cheers...and please make it a point to visit Artists Alley and Small Press at all the conventions you plan on going to this year!
