About This List

A list of my fave US based shows
  1. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, a white supremacist became an American political phenomenon. David Duke’s rise to power and prominence—his election to the Louisiana legislature, and then his campaigns for the U.S. Senate and the governorship—was an existential crisis for the state and the nation. The fourth season of Slate’s Slow Burn will explore how a Nazi sympathizer and former Klansman fashioned himself into a mainstream figure, and why some voters came to embrace his message. It will also examine how activists, journalists, and ordinary citizens confronted Duke’s candidacy, and what it took to stop him.
  2. A weekly podcast for knowledge about anything and everything. From North Korea to Nicolas Cage, Tim and Tom leave no stone unturned in their humble quest to make the world a more informed place. Put away the encyclopedia four-eyes because this may just be the last resource you'll ever need. Wikipedia, consider yourselves on warning.
  3. A podcast about myths we think are history and history that might be hidden in myths! Awesome stories that really (maybe) happened!
  4. This is a program where we talk about Willow.
  5. Money. Romance. Tragedy. Deception. The story of Elizabeth Holmes and Theranos is an unbelievable tale of ambition and fame gone terribly wrong. How did the world's youngest self-made female billionaire lose it all in the blink of an eye? How did the woman once heralded as "the next Steve Jobs" find herself facing criminal charges -- to which she pleaded not guilty -- and up to 20 years in jail? How did her technology, meant to revolutionize healthcare, potentially put millions of patients at risk? And how did so many smart people get it so wrong along the way? ABC News chief business, technology and economics correspondent Rebecca Jarvis, along with producers Taylor Dunn and Victoria Thompson, take listeners on a journey that includes a three-year-long investigation. You'll hear exclusive interviews with former employees, investors, and patients, and for the first-time, the never-before-aired deposition testimony of Elizabeth Holmes, and those at the center of this story.
  6. "'A podcast about the internet' that is actually an unfailingly original exploration of modern life and how to survive it." - The Guardian. Hosted by PJ Vogt and Alex Goldman, from Gimlet.
  7. The United Kingdom and America are two countries separated by the same language, George Bernard Shaw never said, and we’ll be proving that in this podcast. We gather Incomparable panelists from the UK and America, as well as Canada and other English-speaking regions, and try to explain to each other the distinctions between biscuit and cookie, lemonade and fizzy water, public school and, er, public school, and why when we put our pants in our boot, we mean something altogether different.
  8. Host Brian Thompson leads listeners through intriguing conversations. A proud part of the Pizza at McDonald's Network.
  9. An audio entertainment program about board games from a Christian perspective. A proud part of the Pizza at McDonald's Network.
  10. In this intensely divided moment, one of the few things everyone still seems to agree on is Dolly Parton—but why? That simple question leads to a deeply personal, historical, and musical rethinking of one of America’s great icons. Join us for a 9-episode journey into the Dollyverse. Hosted by Jad Abumrad, creator of Radiolab and More Perfect. Dolly Parton’s America is co-produced by OSM Audio and WNYC Studios.
  11. This podcast brings you conspiracies in bit sized pieces. We like to ask the tough questions like: do aliens eat beef? Or what happened to Kyron Horman? Listen in then send me your favorite Conspiracies! Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/5minconspiracies/support
  12. From one the nation's most trusted public affairs radio hosts comes a new daily politics podcast that goes beyond the headlines and talking points. Through thoughtful conversations with leading journalists and key newsmakers, Brian Lehrer: A Daily Politics Podcast, helps listeners make sense of the day's news, offering crucial context and a clear-eyed assessment of the stakes at hand. When news is made by the minute and information overload is the norm, Lehrer is a sane guide in a frenetic world. Join us. Produced by WNYC, home to other award-winning news podcasts including The Takeaway and New Yorker Radio Hour. The episodes of Impeachment: A Daily Podcast, that were formerly found at this feed are archived online, at impeachmentpodcast.org
  13. Crust to Crust AM is a live call-in program discussing issues related to the paranormal and McDonald's Pizza. Hosted by Brian Thompson, journalist and host of Whatever Happened to Pizza at McDonald's?.
  14. This is an investigative journalism program (or IJP) about whatever happened to pizza at McDonald's.
  15. A lovingly crafted podcast that reveals the stories behind the world's most recognizable and interesting sounds.
  16. The official podcast dedicated to Prince, the singular artist and visionary. Featuring explorations of Prince's massive discography, interviews with his trusted collaborators, and stories about his groundbreaking, prolific career. Brought to you by The Prince Estate, which passionately presents Prince's life and work and aims to immerse fans, old and new, in Prince's story.
  17. For 22 years, the JonBenét case has gripped the world, leaving everyone asking the same question: Who killed JonBenét Ramsey? The six year old's death shocked the nation. The circumstances surrounding her murder, horrific. Now, for the first time ever, JonBenét Ramsey's father and brother are armed with the original suspect list from Lou Smit, the late lead investigator on the case. Will they finally track down JonBenét's killer to solve one of the nation's most infamous crimes? The creators of THE KILLING OF MARILYN MONROE and FATAL VOYAGE: THE MYSTERIOUS DEATH OF NATALIE WOOD bring you THE KILLING OF JONBENÉT: THE FINAL SUSPECTS. The Killing of JonBenét: The Final Suspects is narrated by Danielle Robay. To see how we use your data, visit https://www.endeavoraudio.com/privacy-policy.
  18. Chances are Robin Williams has made you laugh, cry -- or cry laughing! -- at least once in your lifetime. From sweaty standup riffs to sitcom mayhem as Mork from Ork, to a powerful Oscar-winning performance in Good Will Hunting, Robin was an artist who was constantly pushing his craft. But behind these displays of brilliance was an isolated and often misunderstood man. From Macmillan Podcasts, Knowing: Robin Williams takes you inside the lawless and brilliant mind of one of America’s most beloved comedians. Join New York Times reporter Dave Itzkoff and host Kristy Westgard as they share never-before-heard interviews and thoughtful analysis to celebrate the life and legacy of a comedic genius.
  19. There are questions the internet just can't answer. But that doesn't mean we can't find them. On each episode of Underunderstood, we find a question the internet can’t answer — maybe it’s a dead-end Wikipedia page, an abandoned Reddit thread, or an unanswered question on Twitter — and we fill in the gaps. It’s part chat show, part documentary, and almost always surprising.
